Breathe Carolina LIVE! @ WCU Review! ♡

So, Breathe Carolina did a small show a few days ago for a celebration at a local university. Never in a million years did I ever think they would be so close!!

The concert was free to the community but not a lot of people knew about it. The celebration started around 4 but Breathe Carolina didn't play until 9 so those 5 hours were just spent walking around, eating, taking random pictures, & even some stalking. ;)

Breathe got there about 7 or so and it was so amazing! They were basically just walking around and nobody knew who they were!! Me, of course, had to take some photos of them. We'll call it mild stalking... ;)

Eventually, I had worked up the nerve to finally go talk to them. Keep in mind that I'm probably one of the ackwardest person ever when I meet new people. I decided to talk to David and ask for a picture. He was the sweetest and was so nice and genuine to anybody that came around him.

After talking to the band, they had to go get there supplies and such so I let them go.

Fast forward a hour or so and it was time for sound check. The first to go up there was Eric. He was trying to get the right sound for his drums and everything by making random beats.

That took awhile but eventually it was over and the rest of the band came out, except for David.

After waiting for what seemed like forever, it was finally time for the show. The set list ranged from some old songs to some new and David even crowd surfed! This was by far my favorite BC concert thus far.

They're about to announce a US tour so if they're coming to a town near you, go check them out! You won't regret it!

Okay, that's enough from me! I'll leave you with a few pictures that I took during the show and if you would like to see more, just check out my Flickr. flickr.com/hallieaspyn ♡

Late but Crowd Surf America Concert Review! ♡

I totally forgot to post this but here is how my VIP expierence went!! Soooo, I got there late :( but I was on the guest list for Blessthefall so I did get in for free :) once I got in there, they told me to go see the merch guy for my stuff. I went and talked to him and he told me to come back after Blessthefall's set, so I decided to check out Chiodos' merch & I totally forgot that one of my favorite photographers was selling there merch! At first, I didn't recognize her but I looked on the tip jar and it had "Instagram: @ashleyosborn" & I about had a heart attack but I played it cool and told her how much I liked her work and she was the sweetest! I bought my very first vinyl and the latest Chiodos album. After that, I decided to get into the crowd for the first band, Capture the Crown. I will admit that I had never heard them before but they did a AMAZING set!
The lead singer, Jefferey, climbed onto the crowd and decided to walk on top of them and reach this bar thing that was on the rail which was directly over our heads!
I was beyond impressed with this band, & they are definitely a must see!
Shortly after there set, I was tired as heck so I made my way out of the crowd. By then, it was time for I Killed The Prom Queen, & once again, I had never really listened to them. Sadly, they really didn't do a lot to get my attention, but the songs sounded great. I didn't get any pictures of them because I was stalking Beau while he was playing basketball ;)
Eventually, it was time for Blessthefall's set & I was beyond excited. I stood in the back because I didn't feel like being pulled into a mosh pit or circle pit.
Blessthefall is definitely one of those bands that you have to see live to even understand how great they are! There set list had to be one of my favorite thus far.
After waiting for what seemed like forever, I went back over to the merch guy & he told me that I had to wait for Chiodos to start. I will admit that it sort of pissed me off but I shortly got over it once I realized Ashley was going to be taking some pictures during their set. If you know me, you know that I love seeing how other photographers take their pictures so this was a highlight of the show. I stood towards the side so I could watch both Ashley and Chiodos.
There were so many mosh pits, it was insane! Chiodos has always been one of my favorite bands and they put on such an amazing show!!!
Sadly, I had to leave early because my mom had to work in the morning & we were 2 hours away from home. But before I left, the merch guy finally gave me my laminate and poster so I could have it signed. I didn't get to meet the band but the merch guy went and had it signed for me and that was good enough for me!
I quickly grabbed the one Blessthefall CD I didn't had from him and headed home.
The tour was absolutely insane but I had a blast even though I was alone & didn't get to meet the band. If any of these bands are coming anywhere near you, I highly suggest going to see them! You're in for a treat! :)

Get to Know Me ♡

Hey everyone!
My names Hallie. I've had other blogs but sometimes you need a fresh start. :)

First things first, I'm 14 and I'm from a little town right in the heart of the Great Smokey Mountains in North Carolina called Cherokee. In case you're wondering, I am native american. I was on born on October 17, 1999 in Jackson, MS.

Music is a big part of my life and it has been for as long as I can remember. I also have a passion for photography. I picked up my first DSLR a little over a year ago and I haven't stopped taking pictures.

My favorite movie is Star Wars and my favorite band is Of Mice & Men. I love a lot of old rock n' roll like Nirvana, Rolling Stones, Kiss, etc. I love turtles, cats, and dogs. I'm quite obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they're like brothers. ;)

I do online school and I'm in the 10th grade. When I get older, I want to become a professional music photographer and capture all the madness that happens at concerts/festivals. I attend quite a lot of concerts throughout the year. You can find me nearly anywhere in NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, and I've even went cross country for other concerts.

I love to travel, it's one of my many passions. I love seeing new things, whether that be new towns, states, and even countries.

Okay, that's enough about me. Have a lovely day!

Cheers!
